Florida Concealed Carry and Firearm Safety Class is a Live Fire class designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper use of Pistols. This class is at least 5 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot pistols. This course meets Florida’s requirements for a Concealed Weapon Permit (CWP). Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling, the 3 common pistol types, their parts and operation. Determining the correct ammunition selection, shooting fundamentals, the care & cleaning of firearms and continued opportunities for skill development are also presented. Important aspects of Florida Concealed Carry laws are discussed. Students will receive a Course completion certificate upon successful completion of the class as well as necessary paperwork to apply for their Florida CWP.
